5/23/19

Today we left for Beverly & Keith Semm house for their yearly Memorial Day camp out. They live between Grandview, Covington and Cleburne, Texas.  They have a nice log house and the patio has a few TVs and a kitchen with an attached bathroom.  After arriving we sat around and talked to everyone under their nice patio.  At night we had a pot luck dinner and I took Mexican Cornbread.

5/24/19

Today I went to the Grandview Cemetery and put flowers on my grandparents' graves.  I also took flowers for an aunt and uncle's. My uncle Albert was on the U.S.S. Indianapolis and went down with the ship after the Japanese torpedoed it.  The graves were really dirty. The names on grandma and grandpa's were almost illegible.  Jim and I took a walk through the country roads.  There were lots of wildflowers, horses and cows.  A loose Husky decided to keep us company for a while. We had pot luck again tonight.

Today we went with Henry to Dallas to pick up Debbie from the airport.  She had to stay home an extra day to go to a graduation ceremony.  We left early and stopped at Celestial Beer Works and Outfit Brewing before picking up Debbie at Love Field. We had potluck again tonight.

5/26/19

Today I went back to the Grandview Cemetery and cleaned the headstones. We took another walk through the countryside.  Someone threw out some pieces of watermelon and the butterflies were loving it.  Keith did his Memorial Day BBQ today.

5/27/19

Most of our friends left today.  A few of us ladies went to the ice cream parlor in Cleburne. A couple of us stayed one more night.  We broke out all the leftovers from the fridge for supper tonight.
